15 Places to Look for a Niche Idea

The first step in internet marketing is looking for niche ideas you want to do some research on and possibly build your campaign around. A lot people get stuck on where to look for ideas, or have a hard time thinking of niche idea. Once you have a little practice you will see niches everywhere you go!

Here are 15 places you can go and look for niche ideas. Now remember you are just getting ideas at this point. You aren’t judging the niche, or thinking about products to sell or keywords at this point. You are just getting niche ideas!!

  1. Amazon.com: check out the top non fiction books and connect the books with the people who would read them. How to buy a horse/people who want to have a horse
  2. Ebay Pulse: Find out what’s hot on ebay, you can dig down into each of the categories for more specific niches.
  3. paypal.com: Yes, paypal. You will find a list of paypal shops, they are listed by highest sales.
  4. Magazines.com: If there’s a magazine there’s a market
  5. Lycos Top 50
  6. DayPop: Top 40 hottest blog topics.
  7. SpringSpotters.com
  8. Board Tracker
  9. There’s An Idea: this one’s kind of fun, just click the get another idea button.
  10. DMOZ
  11. MeetUp.com: If people are passionate enough to put together a group and get together ~ there’s a market.
  12. Yahoo Buzz
  13. Google Suggests: This is a fun one and can be very addictive. As you type google comes up with suggestions.
  14. GigaBlast
  15. PR Leads Topic List: an extensive list of topics that will give you niche ideas

This list should get you started or give you a boost when you are having idea block. If you are just getting started I suggest you come up with 10 Niche Ideas. Once you have 10 Niche Ideas come back and I’ll show you what to do with them next!
