3 Ways to Beat Blogger’s Block in the Next 10 Minutes

Jun 30

I’ve been sitting here all morning trying to figure out what to write for this post.  I’m sure it’s happened to you as well, you know you need to make a post to your blog, but you just can’t think of anything to write today.  Here’s 3 places you can go to get some great ideas and beat blogger’s block. (in fact I’ve tried them all today)

1. PLR. If you have plr for your niche sitting on your computer check it out. You don’t necessarily have to use the articles, but read the titles and get ideas for what you can write. If you don’t have plr on your computer go to a plr site and look at the titles of the articles. Choose one and write your own article.

2. Forums. One of my favorites, I peruse forums in my niche looking for an interesting question someone is asking or an interesting conversation and then I write my answer or my perspective on the discussion. This also works great at yahoo answers.

3. Google. If you have a general idea what you might want to write about Google it. See what Google gives you. You’ll see plenty of other posts about your topic you can get ideas, or create a list of great posts on the topic.

There you have it, 3 ways to break through blogger’s block and get your blog posts done.

  1. Good points here:

I also like to take a topic or point of discussion and elaborate on it for a post.
Maybe I’m different but I don’t usually get writer’s block. I’ve been writing for sometime so generating content is something that I’m used to, regardless of the subject.

When it does happen I recognize it for what it is and pull back. I’m usually trying to hard. Contrary to common beliefs, forcing yourself to come up with subject matter when the brains isn’t ready to give you an answer, won’t work. First, you have to let the creative part flow from you and that comes when your mind is at ease and not forced.

Get away from your computer.Go set down or walk or do any number of things, just get away. When you least expect it, the answer will come.

Also, as you move through your day, ask yourself “What is it that I can write about, what’s important that someone else would want to read, then focus on it but let your mind answer you back. This works consistently for me in blogging, and as I write stories and novels.

Actually, writers block is common but can be easily overcome if you don’t despair and let the natural state of generating ideas flow from your brain. I think I’ll write my next article on “writer’s block’. Now there’s an idea prompted by someones contribution.
