Thanks for the review! I’ll check this out and reply with how it works out. Do you know if it matter which internet browser I’m using? I’ve had some problems with some plugins and sites on Internet Explorer, and vice versa on Mozilla. Which do you use?

for article submission you generally need to buy a top level domain and then redirect the domain to point to your affiliate link.

I was wondering if you could you help me figure out how to do this for article submission? Once I spin and want to submit to various directories, I will need to cloak my affiliate id so when someone reads my article in say, ezine then the link looks normal. Hope it isnt a silly questions

I like cloaking via subdomains as well but I’ve heard “gurus” saying it’s not the best way and still not safe. Personally I can’t see why they aren’t totally satisfactory. One guru’s advice is another’s warning. That’s why it’s great to hear advice from “real” people like you!

not sure what the problem is. None of my subdomain links show the aff link when you get there. hmm… Unless you’re working in the IM niche it’s not going to be that big of a deal. Most people (outside of IM) don’t understand anything about that and wouldn’t have an account to go get their own links.

I must be missing a step. I created the subdomains and redirected them toward my affiliate links. However, when I follow the links, they still take me to pages that show my affiliate links. Do I still need to use link cloaking to show the main product site instead of my affiliate coded site? I tried clicking on your Url Freeze link, but it took me to a page that didn’t have info about Url Freeze.

this just caught my eye today. I was noticing over time that Mike Filsaime just uses subdomains. I wondered how he had so many domains but then noticed the sub.review somethingorother.us. very clever, clean. I wonder if you can use it for PPC or if you need a content page to land on first and then a masked link to the affiliate page.

Did you make sure your link was working before you did it? Did you follow the link through and make sure you were showing up as the affiliate?

Personally I like to use subdomains to redirect my affiliate links.

But I think like with anything you have to make sure you are using a reputable service. Url freeze works quite well.

DO you think that using other cloakers like URL freeze are safe? Also, I was using a service like this and it seems that it doesn’t always work and in fact, it redirected to the proper website, but I wasn’t credited with any sales!
