As a shopper I’m no where near ready to start thinking about Christmas, as a marketer, NOW is the best time to start not only thinking about Christmas, but it’s time to take action to position yourself in a place to make money from all the holiday shopping that’s about to start.

Last year, at about this time, I picked up a product that showed me the light when it comes to marketing for Christmas.  The entire focus was on creating websites based on physical products people would be looking to buy for Christmas.

The whole process was a bit complicated, and took quite a bit of technical knowledge, some of which even I didn’t have. Instead of calling it quits I just tweaked the process a little bit. I made it work with what I was working with, and it worked.

When it comes to income ~ last Christmas was my best year YET!

I haven’t written an ebook, I’m not recommending the product I bought last year ~ nope. Nothing to buy today.

I am going to give you a few secrets I learned last year and I hope you will take them and run with them.

We’re half way through September, and it takes time for Google to find things, so please, take action quickly so  you can benefit when Christmas shopping gets into full swing.

Christmas Gift Squidoo Lens Tips:

• Start looking at physical products. Think about what people will want to buy for their family and friends.

• Try to find products that will give you a decent commission, yes,this means higher dollar items, but you will have to sell fewer ofthem to make more money.

• Create a Squidoo lens all about that one product.

• Use Amazon as your affiliate vendor.

• Go to Amazon and see how much less they are selling the productfor than the regular retail price. Mention that in your lens!!(people are always looking to save money)

• Check the keyword tool at google to see if people are searchingfor the specific product name ~ if they are, use the product nameas your squidoo lens url, if not, look for something else.

• If there are more than one product in the line do a lens on allthe products and link them together. For example, let’s say you’relooking at kid’s bikes. You might find my little pony bike, speedracer bike, dora the explorer bike. Do a lens on each of theseproducts and then link them together with the featured lensmodule. (all of those bikes have great search volume)

• Mention the fact the product would be a great Christmas gift inyour lens.

• Try to find video of someone using or reviewing your featured product.

• Create a “Christmas” blog at blogger. Make sure to add a short post for each Christmas lens you do on your blog.

• Add your blog feed (which features all your lenses, and any other cool Christmas stuff you can think of) to all of your Christmas gift lenses. This way if they don’t end up buying from your lens they can end up buying at your blog.

• Remember to link your keywords (product names) to the product at Amazon (or wherever you are selling your products from).

• Mention they are buying from Amazon. Amazon is a trusted place to buy from ~ you get instant credibility by mentioning Amazon.

• Check the reviews for your product at Amazon. If there are some good reviews you can use them on your lens ~ just make sure you mention it is a review from someone else.

• Make sure you have a strong call to action. Tell people ~ click here for this great deal ~ let them know exactly what they need to do.
