Blogger In Need

I have talked a lot about getting involved with the blogging community, and how important it is to develop relationships with other bloggers in your niche.  I say this and in my heart know it is important, but rarely see evidence other than page rank, and link backs for this being the case.

This is no longer true.  This morning I clicked on a post by Blogger Unleashed I only recently started subscribing to his RSS feed, and I’m really enjoying his blog.  He posted about a blogger named RT being in trouble.  I clicked over to RT’s Untwisted Vortex blog and was BLOWN AWAY by the love and generosity shown by the blogging community.  RT has posted about A Possible Disappearing Act.

He wasn’t asking for anything, he was just letting the blogging community know due to some family/medical issues he may have to be gone for a while, as well as take on some ways to make money.

The outpouring of support from bloggers was amazing.  Everyone telling him to put up a donate button so they could help.  Not because he needed charity but as a payment for the quality and value he had given to them.

He finally agreed to put up a donate button, and I can only imagine how much he received.  I’m sure it was enough to cover his expenses.  Why not drop by and show some love to a blogger in need?  Another 5 bucks will always help.

It was so cool to see the mass amount of people that jumped in to help. In less than 24 hours more that $3000 dollars was raised to help.
