Build Confidence in Your Abilities

Last week a good friend instant messaged me. She was very upset, her husband had gotten into some trouble and she didn’t know how she was going to pay bills and keep food on the table this month.

We did some quick brainstorming and decided to put together a sale. We all have tons of stuff on our hard drives that can be given away or sold, so we enlisted a couple of friends and dug through our drives and came up with a LOT of stuff.

There was a lot to be done. I have to tell you I’ve never done anything like this before. I theoretically knew how to do it, but in actual action ~ never before.

There was a lot of adrenaline involved, a lot of decisions to be made and a lot of work to be done.  Usually you have the benefit of time to roll decisions around in your mind and to get all the stuff done that needs to be done. But we were in a time crunch. Decisions had to be made quickly and actions taken swiftly.

We got the whole thing up and running in a couple of days. This includes all the gathering, page building, button making, JV offers, organizing. whew.  We really did it in a couple of days.

Seeing as neither one of us had done this before we were pretty excited about that. It was a big confidence boost to both of us ~ we can take all the knowledge in our heads and MAKE SOMETHING OF IT!!
