When I start talking about product creation the same "objections" keep coming up. I thought I would address them. I don't have any ideas This is totally mental issue. There are ideas all around you. You can find product ideas from blog comments, forums, other people's blogs/blog comments. People are always asking for help ~ or telling you where they are having trouble. They may not come right out and tell you, but if you read between the lines you'll see the same questions and comments … [Read more...]
30 Minute Success System
You may or may not know this about me, but I'm a recovering "all or nothing" thinker. I say recovering, because I'm working on adding more "ands" and "boths" and "at the same time" kind of thinking to my life, and sometimes I completely fail. :) When I started talking about creating your own product I heard a lot of "I don't have time". "I'm working on this right now". "That's just not possible". "I don't know how". It's easy to get stuck in that place ~ believe me... I know. I've got a … [Read more...]
Who Do You Learn From?
I had someone ask me a question today... Can you please recommend blogs to follow to learn about IM? Well, well, well... This is pretty interesting. I don't follow many internet marketing blogs at all. So I didn't have much to tell her. I find I follow more "internet marketing mindset" blogs now than "how to" blogs. Here's a couple I do enjoy and I trust the information that comes from these people. (you can click the links ~ they will all open in a new window so you won't lose this … [Read more...]
3 Questions I Ask Myself Before I Buy Internet Marketing Products
I recently subscribed to Traffic Bug. I told my Squidoo readers about it yesterday and received a comment that there was a huge thread on the warrior forum that said it sucked and didn't do anything. Not surprising. The comment and the warrior thread. :) I don't buy too many things anymore, but there are times I pull out my wallet. I want to share with you what goes through my head before I plunk down my debit card. 1. Is this something that will assist me with what I'm currently … [Read more...]
Who Said You Have to Work 5 Days a Week?
Yesterday I was chatting with my niche marketing accountability partner Frank Dickinson. He was saying how he felt unmotivated and like he had been at his desk for way too long. I totally understood where he was coming from, I frequently feel the same myself. (especially during times I'm doing activities that aren't incredibly energy promoting ~ like link building) We talked for a while about it and juiced up his energy level a little bit, but it wasn't until later in the day when I had a … [Read more...]
Unrealistic Expectations ~ How to Break Them and Move Your Business Forward!
This is a post I published back on December 31, 2009. I had just conducted a survey to try to better understand what it is I can do for you to help you succeed in internet marketing. I was surprised (I'm not sure why) by the results I got and felt it was time someone stood up and said out loud what I've been talking about with my close internet marketing friends. In the last week I've seen so many of these unrealistic expectations show up around me that I decided to write a post about it. … [Read more...]
Regular Evaluation is Key
It's really easy (at least for me ~ who's not a huge fan of change) to get locked into what I'm doing, and just keep doing it. I've got the schedule down pat. I know what comes next in my day. Day in, day out... same actions. That's fun... I love it. However, sometimes a little evaluation goes a long way. Sometimes it's important to stop and really look at your business and SEE what you're doing. Are the actions you're taking every day moving you in the right direction? Are you … [Read more...]
KISS Club Welcomes YOU!
When I first quit my job and started working at home full time one of the things I missed more than anything was the interaction with my peers. I worked with some people I really liked and I used to get to talk and interact with other people for 8 hours of my day. They were people who understood what I was doing (or trying to do) they could relate to the problems I was having, they were there if I needed to vent about things that were going on at the job. When I started working from home I … [Read more...]
Everybody Does Stupid Things Sometimes
Yesterday was some day. Most of my days run fairly smoothly, nothing too crazy or off the rails ~ well as sane as things get with a 4 year old as your only company. But yesterday... phew. It was a doozy. It was one of those days where the worse it gets the worse it gets. Here's just a few things that have gone haywire in the last couple days. 1. A snake came to visit. Right on the front step where I apparently stepped right over her without noticing. Didn't notice him until I went to … [Read more...]
How Do You Manage Life and Internet Marketing

On my last post about planning your business actions I got a great comment and it's one I thought would be worth answering in a new post. Here's the question (copied from the comments ~ formatted a little for easier reading) Great post Jackie, agree with you totally on goals and planning sheets. But do you allow for time-consuming things like an email from PotPieGirl (who I have learned to listen to, and respect) heavily promoting something like ‘Plug & Play Niche’. Do you take … [Read more...]
Let’s Get to Know Each Other!
Social media gives me the opportunity to get to know you better, as well as giving me the opportunity to share more of me than just the "internet marketing" side. I share multiple facets of me, and my life on social media, so if you choose to connect with me don't expect it to be 100% internet marketing... because it's not. :)
