Ahh… you’re in the wrong place. Go to settings ~ and you’ll see all in one seo ~ when you click that it will be where you can make changes.

You are in the editor area, where any changes will actually change the plugin ~ not what you want to do.

Just scroll down farther to the “settings” area and find it there.

I go to Plugins, then under All in One SEO, I see Deactivate or Edit. I click on Edit and I see the following warning and all kinds of codes. I don’t see the boxes where I can edit.

Warning: Making changes to active plugins is not recommended. If your changes cause a fatal error, the plugin will be automatically deactivated.

Maybe I’m going about it wrong?

Yes, the learning curve is steep the first go around, but it gets much easier the second.

Not sure what kind of warning you are getting ~ can you tell me specifically.

To change the home description you just fill in the boxes ~ there’s a title, description, meta tags etc boxes. Just write in what you want there.

Hay Jackie,

Still struggling with my first website. There seems to be a never ending learning curve.
How can I edit the Home Description in All in One SEO? When I click on Edit, there’s a “warning” about editing anything.
Will I have to deactivate it and start from scratch?

Don’t worry about it ~ that happens sometimes. It’s probably an issue with Bing.

I am starting a new blog (been a while since my last one). Anyway, I set up all the plugins as instructed, but the site map one had an error, was not successful with BING. What can be done about this error?

Nope, you need to do both. They serve two different functions. This task really shouldn’t take more than a couple seconds really to type in relevant terms to the post. Check out this post to see what/why about tags and keywords. http://internetmarketingformommies.com/title-keywords/

Hi Jackiie, now I have the SEO pluging installed can I just put the keywords in that box at the bottom & forget about the “tags” on the right sidebar near the top? I takes time to do both & if the SEO overrides the other then no point in wasting time right? plmk? Thanks, Lakshmi.
