What that means is you can not change the sidebar elements in that theme. You’ll need to look for a new theme ~ make sure the theme is “widget ready”

Hi Jackie … this query is not quite related to this Post.
You’ll be aware that I’ve been having problems with widgets on my selected Blog theme site.
When I go to “widgets” on my wp dashboard all I get is:

“Widgets
No Sidebars Defined

The theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change. For information on making your theme widget-aware, please follow these instructions.”

If I click on “follow these instructions” I get a heading of “Widgetizing Themes” followed by a lot of info relating to html which I do not understand.
My selected theme does have both L/H & R/H sidebars.
Can you help me from here? (If you wish to sight my theme, please let me know).

And this may sound a silly question, but can I get my theme up to full-size from my dashboard page so I can work on it for widgets? Or don’t I need to?

Quick tips make for awesome and very well received little posts.

The trick: If you’re sitting at your computer when the thought strokes, STOP, enter your blog and write the tip post. Publish it right there and then or draft it for the next post if you already have one running.

Too many bloggers make the mistake of “saving” them until they have enough quick tips to make a full article.

The cool thing about this option, is you now have several quick tip posts, which you can then put together into one nice article.

I think its a great post. Good tip for those who are busy with their lives but still want to commit to posting on their blog.

It’s good for posting on twitter too (hint, hint )

Another great idea Jackie. I have been toying with it for a few weeks now but never got so far as to do it. My niche is sooo suited for these kind of posts! Can it be that I am really so lazy sometimes when I have so much great content lying around in the house in the form of magazines and also in my head from personal experience in this niche…

I was able to join the fanpage last night and already took part in the discussion on how many links is too many.

Great idea. We all have day like that and to know that you can get something up quickly AND that it is going to be helpful, takes the pressure off.
