Do You Wish This Was Easier?
Got a story for you today. A story from way back in the day when I was buying everything someone in an email told me I needed lol, and how I finally realized how to use something I bought years ago.
Almost 2 years ago now an email or something came through that made me think I needed to buy Micro Niche Finder. I don’t remember exactly what it was but hell, back then it didn’t take much to get me to buy anything.
I bought it, and I tried to use it, and I remember thinking something along the lines of “Hell this thing doesn’t work, man, one more thing I wasted my money on. Why am I so frickin’ gullible?” I turned it off and never really looked at it again.
My husband built me a new computer not too long ago and luckily I was smart enough to move it to the new machine. I mean I DID pay for it!!
Well a couple days ago I got an email from some Guru who’s been around forever, and he told me against his better judgement he was going to recommend I take a read of a stupidly long thread at the Warrior Forum. He warned me if I started reading I might be up all night, it was that long, and that interesting.
Well, it was getting late, and I know how I am so I didn’t start reading it until the next morning. I have to say I really try to stay away from the Warrior forum because I am still susceptible to STS “shiny thing syndrome” and I’m trying really hard to stay focused on one internet marketing strategy, but I went ahead and started reading the thread.
To my utter amazement this guy is doing almost EXACTLY what I’m doing ~ he’s just doing it on his own sites, and monetizing with adsense. That’s all fine and good and it definitely got my post Christmas juices thinking… but… what was so cool is HOW he is finding his niches. Yes, he’s even doing product niches.
He’s using micro niche finder. That crazy little keyword research tool that’s been collecting virtual dust on my computer for a couple years now.
I thought if he’s doing it (and making it sound REALLY easy) maybe I should go and just check it out. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen? I waste a couple hours and then get back to work, right?
Well that is NOT what happened.
Within a few minutes I had found about 40 kick ass keywords in about 5 or 6 different niches. My head was spinning and I was starting to suffer the effects of STS. I reigned myself in and started thinking ~ how can I use this for what I’m already doing.
It was then that the big ole foghorn went off, and I started thinking about all the emails I get from you guys!
This would be awesome for all the people who are:
1. Having trouble finding good keywords
2. Having trouble finding “buying” keywords
3. Having trouble getting seo for firefox, or seonuke to work
4. Having trouble understanding the whole “page rank” element.
5. Are super busy and don’t have a ton of time to look for niches
and so much more…
Here’s why that hit me.
1. Micro Niche Finder provides all of the information I have you looking for by hand, without having to look it all up.
2. It tells you the level of competition in numbers ~ but also with a big GREEN button, a YELLOW button or a RED button depending on the level of difficulty you will have getting this keyword to rank in the search engine. It’s called SOC.
3. If you click on the SOC after it gives you a number (the lower the better ~ I’m looking for keywords with a SOC of under 20) it will also give you the number of allintitle, allinachor, and allurl numbers. (Which I have to say I don’t really look at even though they are there. It’s all added up and given to me in the SOC number, so I don’t waste a lot of time looking at the extras.)
3. Search volume is right there. You can see right there what the level of search volume your keywords have ~ it’s pulled from Google, and the default on MicroNicheFinder is set to exact.
4. You can also get exact phrase count. This is the number you would get if you went to google and put your word in the search box “in quotes”. Again I don’t really look much at this number because it’s really the top 10 sites I have to worry about beating and that’s what the SOC tells me.
5. You can also see the approximate amount of the adsense spent for the first position. While this is not important to use right now on squidoo ~ believe me it’s going to be part of the post Christmas tutorials, to start building another stream of income from the work we’re doing now.
6. There’s a number called “OCI” it’s the level of “commercial intent” in other words, how likely is someone to BUY something if they are typing in this keyword. I’m looking for keywords with above 95%.
All good stuff ~ but here’s the kicker. The keywords are soooo easy to find. I really couldn’t even believe it myself. Last night I looked around my house and then just started putting things in to see what would come up. I focused on products ~ things that could be bought ~ so I would have a product to put with the keyword.I started putting in everything I saw in my kitchen. cups, dishes, spice rack, bakers rack, drain rack, dishwasher, microwave, anything I could see that I bought I was putting it in to see what I could find. Some of the keywords I found were specific brand names and some were pretty specific types of things ~ which if the numbers are right will work with the blueprint just fine!
You can even put in a brand name and then the product ~ I tried ironman inversion table, and UP POPPED the ironman keyword I used for the sample lens. PLUS there were a TON more ironman keywords that were also great buying keywords that I hadn’t thought of or seen.
If you’re doing OWM campaigns ~ and NO Christmas Cash is not OWM ~ I’m just saying, it would be super easy to find 6 or 8 very related keywords for a whole campaign with this software. In fact, I’ve got a few saved to work on when I’m done with Christmas stuff.
Oh yeah ~ the software also allows you to save keywords you want to keep track of. You set up a folder, and then put a check next to them, and click save checked. Then they are always there when you’re ready to start working on them. This is huge for me, you don’t even have an idea how many composition notebooks I have on and around my desk with niche ideas and keywords in them. I of course can never find what I’m looking for when I go back to get started, lol, but this should help solve the problem.
So ~ if you think this might help you get moving forward, by getting past some of the the hurdles your facing here’s my link to grab the product. Buy Micro Niche Finder. Yes, it’s my affiliate link and I will make a commission if you buy from me, and I will also be willing to help you figure out how to use it too.
If you decide to buy you will also find you get 5 free videos that show you 5 different ways you can make money using the Micro Niche Finder. One of those ways is with Squidoo ~ so that’s kind of cool.
** Please hear this!! DO NOT buy this software if you can’t afford it. Everything I’ve taught you still absolutely works. This software may make it a little bit faster, but it’s not necessary to make money this holiday season with the blueprint.
I just reread this post and wow I sound, something, I’m not sure if it’s salesy or just excited, but yesterday on my Unique Article wizard post I got accused of working for or being married to UAW ~ which I’m not
I just get really excited when I find something that works. I guess it goes back to all the times I was “duped” into buying something that wasn’t what I needed or things that just didn’t work, that I get really excited now when I find things that do. So take it how you take it ~ get it if you think it will help you, don’t if you don’t think it will or you can’t afford it, and we’ll keep taking action and moving forward!!
Need some help getting started? Wherever you are I can probably help. Whether it's Squidoo, niche blogs, or an authority blog, one on one help is available!!

You goofy girl, you have had the greatest keyword tool on the planet and you have been doing research by hand? I can’t even imagine how much you want to kick yourself in ass.
Do you have the latest version, updates are free.
This tool is life changing for an internet marketer. As you say, you can get great keywords and be off and running in minutes, not hours or days.
I have found phrases that had millions of pages of competition but only2 SOC. It’s a trip to hit #1 in Google with words I would never have even considered before.
Have fun with it Jackie. It actually becomes funny to hear people agonize about finding a niche or good keywords when you know you can do it in 10 minutes.

Great post, I use this software also, and have been putting it to use double time lately. I have come up with some amazing stuff, really there is so much we could never cover it all. Great stuff. It has saved me some heartache with the graphs to show something that looks promising is in a downward slope. If you buy it, you will like it!!
Hiya Jackie,
It is me again, Cindy.
You know what? I also suffer from STS and I too bought the Mirco Niche Finder awhile back. And just like you, mine has been collecting virtual dust! Maybe it is time for me to pull it down off the shelf and dust it off and check it out once again. I had forgotten about all of the cool things that this piece of software could do until you just reminded me! So, thanks for that!
I also suffer from “not being able to get started”. When I first found your Christmas Cash Blueprint, I was all excited and went right away to Squidoo and started a lens (this was probably 2 weeks ago) and I have not returned to finish it yet! I am ashamed to admit this, but I think it is high time I put my butt in gear and finished it and then keep on repeating until I have at least 5 different lens on 5 different products (5 is not an unreasonable amount, don’t you think? At least it is a start) .
With that being said, do you have any suggestions for me to help me to get and stay STARTED?? Anything you can think of I’m sure will help me…
Thanks sooo much for all of your posts! They all are very informative and I’m sure they are helpful too if I ever got started.
Thanks!
Cindy
PS I will retweet this post because I think it will be very helpful for everyone!

I also own MNF, but don’t use it much. Actually, I’m very much in favor of using another tool called Market Samurai (MS). Not that MNF is bad. I guess I just migrated over to MS and kept at it until I grew comfortable with it.
Both tools work well. I guess it’s just a matter of preference when you compare the same features side by side. But you can definitely save a lot of time using either of them.

I bought this little tool. Sounds like it may make my life much easier. I’ll take you up on your help if needed.

Jackie,
I just tried to retweet this and when I clicked on the tweet button at the top of the page, it said it was an invalid URL, so I clicked it again and it went through… so I went to Twitter to check it out. I clicked on the link and it just went to a blank page.
Just thought you should know….
Thanks!

You guys are so funny
I’m glad to see we’re all dusting off our poor neglected software ~ and for those of you who just purchased let me know if I can help. MNF does a good job of providing videos and info ~ and I was able to find the manual online so I could read through all it does, which is nice.
Cindy ~ thanks for the heads up on the blank page ~ not sure what that’s about but I’ll check into it. thanks.
Cathy ~ it’s about 2 weeks before the Christmas shopping rush ~ do you really want to waste a whole day or two reading a forum thread???
If you really really do email me and I’ll send it to you. I’m going to get into it more on this blog after Christmas, pulling some of what he does with what we’re already doing ~ it’s gonna be super fun!!
Hey Mark, I also tried MS during the free trial when it first came out. I only pulled out any software because this one was mentioned ~ I’ve heard MS is really good, but I don’t like to recommend things I haven’t used enough to be able to honestly say I liked them, and how they helped me. I find it’s pretty easy to promote software, and make money ~ because people are really looking for an easier/quicker way to get things done ~ but most of the time, just like me it just sits around collecting dust.

Cindy ~ I just tweeted the post via the button and it worked, so it must have been a glitch. Thanks for the retweet ~ feel free to try again.

@Donn ~ yes I did download the newest version and I had to reset my key because I was on a new computer, but all is well ~ it was well explained along the way and I figured it out.
I love that they give free updates, and maybe they’ve added features since the first time I used it? I don’t know, but I’m diggin’ it now.

Hey Cindy, I forgot to answer your staying started question. It’s different with everyone ~ but I know that once I found something I enjoyed doing, Figured out a system so I was really clear on what I “should” be doing it got easier to stay focused.
In fact, I just today created a mind map for my new strategy for next year. It’s my goal to stay focused on it through the whole year and really build a passive income. The mind map allows me to look at it and see where I’m at and what I need to be doing. Everything is lined out, so when I get interrupted (hello toddler anyone??) I know right where I left off and can pick right back up again.
I’ve done this without mind maps before ~ it was all written down, very clear. step1. do this this and this ~ move on to step 2.
step 2. do this this and this ~ move to step 3.
I have to have it really straight forward since I get interrupted a lot ~ I used to find half my day was spent figuring out where to start ~ now I always know and I can just get right back on it.
So pick a strategy ~ delete all email lists that don’t teach you how to make that strategy work better ~ figure out all the steps involved in being successful with that strategy ~ stay out of forums that will bring on STS ~ and then start working. With the clarity and without all the distractions I have certainly found it much easier to stay focused and on track.
Again ~ that’s just me.

Hey Jackie. Yes there are some new features which are great. When you find a phrase that looks good, just left click on the phrase and a drop down will pop up.
There are several things there but my favs are you can see how many ezine articles there are, and the best of all, 2 simple clicks will pull up affiliate programs on Click Bank and everywhere else.
So let’s see, maybe 15-20 minutes and you have a niche, keywords that will let you dominate SEO, and ways to monetize your site. I was discussing SEO with a JV partner of mine the other day and tools came up. We both have MNF, MS, and KWE2. Long story short, If I could sell my copy of MNF for ten grand but I couldn’t replace it, no deal. Yes I am an affiliate for MNF and I sell a bunch of it, but this is Jackie’s site and if you can afford it, buy from her please. I promise you will not be sorry.

Interesting tool that your have recommended. I have tried market samurai and some free niche keyword finders but haven’t tried the one u mentioned… am hopping over to take a look at it.
Well I followed your advice and I made 2 lenses got them indexed and ranking in 4 days. Now it has been a few days and they have vanished. I am not even showing up as indexed anymore? What did I do wrong?
Tnank You
Thanks Jackie!
I think this will help me. Well this and your newest post!
Thanks!
Cindy

Thanks for the info — I was able to purchase MNF and I am very excited to start using it. Any chance you will make a couple of quick videos explaining how you use the program to find niches….. the pages are so confusing with all the numbers and graphs and I get so easily distracted.
Yeah I can probably do that.
Follow me @momtohanna on Twitter!
I’m looking at getting MNF and I’ll get it from your link. I do have a question or suggestion. It is confusing sometimes to know how much search volume is good. Also other stats that the software provides to go with something or not.
Ex. how many ezine articles is too many, PR, adsense ads(how many is too many),etc. Maybe you could do a post on that sometime….. just asking. I watched the videos and it sold me, now to get the money(lol)…
Hey Ken,
It’s really fun and makes research pretty easy. I only look at the SOC, and search volume.
What you’re going to look at is going to be completely dependent on what you’re trying to do. If you were doing only article marketing for a product (sending people directly to product page from articles) you would want minimal other articles on your keywords so there was less competition.
For the product lenses I check SOC, and search volume. Because all I really care about is the competition level and that’s what SOC tells me. I’ve gone and done the checking manually and every time I found SOC 30 or under it was a keyword I would have been good with doing it my manual way.
Adsense ads aren’t relevant really and I don’t look at that number at all ~ if you start creating adsense sites you’ll want to look at the CPC of a keyword, but only if you are going to monetize your site with adsense.
Search volume, I look for keywords ~ for these product lenses (and would if I was doing my own site as well) with over 1000 search volume. If you check out the “how to use christmas cash to promote your own store/product” post on the blog I use MNF in that post ~ that’s exactly what I would do if I was looking for product keywords.
IT provides tons of information, but remember to keep it simple and only use the information you really need.
I am getting ready to do a whole post on stuff like this and I’ll use MNF to do it. So keep an eye out.

I just got the MNF. I like it so far but had a question. Lets say you found a keyword for ex: “spicy green apples” and it had 5000 search volume. but you can’t get that domain name or keyword for lens, but you change the words around to “spicy apple green”?That term has no data but same keywords. How much would that matter when people do the search? If I could get a domain for that, could I rank good for listings on google?
Hey Ken,
glad you’re liking MNF. MNF searches with “exact match”, which means the keywords are in the exact order. You can check “broad match” and see if it has search volume in another order. However, there are tons and tons of keywords out there I’d stick with something that you can find the exact keyword in the domain name or lens url. You’re more likely to have success if you have the exact keywords in your domain or url.

I bought MNF this week thru your affiliate link.
WOW.
One of the problems I was looking at -
I wanted to do a couple of jewelry lenses for the Christmas cash blueprint, but who’s going to do a search for something like a 14K Yellow or White Gold Diamond Heart Journey Pendant with 22″ chain? So I used MNF and found some great keywords for the jewelry I wanted to sell.
2nd – I wasn’t always quite as careful as I thought I was when picking my products for my lenses. I ran all my keywords thru MNF and a couple of them are real clunkers. I was able to figure out which ones have the most search volume, coupled with the least competition. So now I know to work first and hardest on those, get them to the top, and then I can spend more time on my “less likely” to succeed product.
This is really a great product – thanks for pointing it out.
Kelly

Hey Kelly!!
Yes the whole product name on amazon is just a starting point to get you thinking specifically ~ but I bet you found some decent search volume for diamond heart journey pendant.
It is interesting how keywords that looked great at one point suddenly look terrible when you have more information ~ that’s just part of IM. But it is nice to know where to spend your time and effort now though. Glad you like it. I’m loving it too. Glad I decided to check it out again lol.

Jackie, Micro Niche Finder is definitely on my wish list. I have just had an example of choosing the wrong keyword again, today. I have a lens that had 751 visitors the last seven days, NO SALES. Now it is a good lens and it helps people a lot so I’m glad to help, but a little money would be nice!
So, why I came back to this post is to just add my 2 cents about the importance of buying keywords. Helping people is really fun, but we cannot spend all our time on that, sometimes we do need to make lenses that actually sell! Fortunately you have shown us how now it is only a case of shoulder to the wheel.

O yes, I forgot to mention, I added an Amazon product according to the Christmas lens formula and I’ll report if it made any change, I don’t really think it will, but I’ll let you know.
