You have to have a website to be an amazon associate. Squidoo doesn’t count as a website, but a blogger blog does. Set up a blog at blogger ~ then fill out your amazon application.

Once accepted into the amazon program you can use your amazon associate ID on your lenses.

PS. yes you will be using the blog later to promote your lenses ~ just take one step at a time.

I join Blogger to be an associate of Amazon.
Now I can make a lens using the associate id from Blogger right?
After creating the lens, am I suppose to blog?
Sorry I’m confused myself.

Well you have to be an associate to be able to make money from the products at amazon.

Try here: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/join/landing/main.html click the button that says “join now free”. There are some states that I know of that Amazon will not work this ~ this may be the problem if it continues to deny you.

If I was doing halloween costumes I would probably put it in the shopping category, with that said, it’s not a huge deal one way or the other which you put it in.

When doing product lenses…for example halloween costumes…what should I pick for my category? Shopping obviously fits, as does entertainment and depending on the costume a few others.
