Google is a giant. I think just about everyone uses google for searching, but many people don’t realize that google adds new gadgets and goodies to the back office all the time. One of these gadgets that I love, and I don’t think everyone knows about is google pages or Google’s page creator.

Google pages are a quick, very easy way to set up your own web pages in just a couple of minutes. You can choose your own template, write up your page in WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), you don’t have to know html, but you can switch over and work in html if you wish. You can add images and hotlinks. You edit your pages right in your browswer, and have access to a preview button so you can see exactly what you are making in real time. They are great.

All you need is a google account. If you have gmail you already have an account. If you still need one they are easy to get and free. Just go here and sign in or sign up.

As you can see you can do a wide variety of things with google pages. I particularly like the fact I don’t have to know anything about hosting, or uploading to a server. I just go, make something I like to look at and then go. I usually buy a domain to redirect so it’s easy to get to, but that’s the only thing I pay for when it comes to google pages.
