What is Pay Per Play?

With the advent of Tivo, and the ability to bypass commercials on TV advertisers are looking for a new way to advertise.

Much like adsense here comes Pay Per Play! You put a short 5 second audio commercial on your webpage and get paid each time someone listens. The audio file plays as soon as someone visits you page so you are essentially getting paid at least once for each of your visitors.

You can put audio files on each and every one of your pages, so for each page view you would get paid again.

I personally am not a huge fan of audio that immediately starts playing that I have no control over, but really it would probably take me 5 seconds to find the button to turn it off. By then, it’s already over.

The payout looks really good, but it doesn’t start until Feb 1st. They are currently in the “gathering core members” phase.
