Have You Taken Action on the Squidoo Christmas Cash Blueprint Yet?

The biggest thing that can stand in your way with internet marketing is 4 little words.

I ALREADY KNOW THAT

Think about how many times you’ve bought a product, downloaded a freebie, or read a blog post, and said ~ “oh yeah, I already know that” .

What happens when your mind finds those 4 little words?

It discounts anything you read, it makes you close the pdf, it makes you jump to the next thing, and worst of all . . .

It stops you from taking ACTION!

You will find the only way to win the game of internet marketing is to take action, and usually it’s not a little bit of action, it’s a LOT of action.

Here’s my questions to you today.

Have you built a Squidoo lens using the information in the Squidoo Christmas Cash Blueprint yet?

If not, WHY?

Is it because you already knew it?

If yes ~ then why aren’t you doing it? It’s a system that works if you take action ~ so take action.

Is it because you just don’t get how to put the pieces together?

If yes ~ then get a little one on one help and get started.

Is it because you don’t have the Squidoo Christmas Cash blueprint yet?

If yes ~ WHY NOT!! It’s free ~ go grab it now.

Here’s what can happen when you start taking action and implementing the steps of the Blueprint.

Thanks so much Jackie. I have been mulling over how to get started with Christmas Lenses. By the way, thanks for your help getting my lenses set up. They made me 65 dollars this week :)

Hi Jackie,
2nd week I made over $80 on Squidoo following your advice. Putting your blueprint into place this past week. You are brilliant… thanks so much,
Mac

This can be you ~ but you have to take action. The first lens can be frustrating ~ but I promise the more you do the easier they get, the faster you can get them done, and the better you’ll get at choosing niches ~ and all that turns into making more money!

You mission for today ~ should you choose to accept it.

1. Download Squidoo Christmas Cash Blueprint. (if you haven’t already)

2. Create your first Christmas Cash Lens.

3. Come back here and tell us all about it. (use the name field in the comment section for your kw, and the url for your lens url ~ and you’ll get a nice backlink too. Just make sure you leave a nice little comment too.)

Can’t wait to see you taking action!!

Hi Jackie,

Hope you have a good weekend. This question is probably based on personal preferences, but I would like to know if you have any experience.

Which do you think is better? Make product lenses on Squidoo or Blogger? or if there is another better place? I definitely know that Squidoo is subjected to rules and terms, while Blogger is a free website that one can control.

G.

G.

Hi Gani,
I would have to disagree with you a bit. Blogger is a free site, but you still have to abide by their terms and conditions, and they still have the power to hit the delete button on your site should they so desire. (and it's happened to me). There really is no difference between Squidoo and blogger in that respect. They are free sites you are allowed to use as long as you follow their rules. They hold the power...

Your best bet is (when you can afford it) to set up your own hosting account and host your own sites. It's the only way you can really have control over your business.

I am the world's worst - in the part of the country I am from we say, "I'm fixin' to do this" or "I'm fixin' to do that". What it comes to our "fixin'" needs fixed! Thanks for all the good spirit in your posts - lifts me up.

Harry

I downloaded the guide this weekend and today I made my first lens. Tomorrow I'll work on some backlinks, then make my next lens. Thanks!

Hi Jackie,

I made my first lens. Can you point me to any article for driving traffic?

Hi Jackie,

Thanks again for bringing up the Christmas lens training again, I started with the Christmas lens last year immediately you set it up and I have made over 30 lens, some for Christmas, some for Valentine day, some for Easter, some for St Paddy's day, Mother's day and currently I have some for World Cup and Father's day. The system works and although I am very lazy at times to take action, I see results when I work on my lens. I have employed a person for two days a week to assist on some of the task because the lens are a bit overwhelming, but I like every inch of it. I have not made a lot of money but I get some dollars flowing both from Squidoo and Amazon. It is a great system and so simple. Unlike blogs which require regular updating, once you set up a lens, you need to do very little in adding the content and by just adding a sentence it considered updating by the Squidoo team plus lens rank with search engine easily. Once you get hang of the process, lenses are addictive and there are many things to write lens about. Jackie your system is great and I hope we will continue taking actions. Thanks Jackie for all that, your system I would call it blogging made simple.

Where is your lens ranking when you go to Google and put in the keywords you targeted for the lens? First page? Second page? If not, you'll need to keep building links. 2 articles is probably not nearly enough if it's the only backlinking you've done for the lens.

It generally takes 200 *click throughs* (people clicking on the link and going to the product page) to get 1 sale.

So you need to check and see how many click throughs you're getting (this information is in your dashboard under stats/traffic). 8 visits a month is just not enough to see any/regular sales. Build more links, improve your ranking on Google and then you'll get more traffic. More traffic = sales.

Put up a lens 12/09 for a ladies diamond watch wrote articles and submitted them
but only two and only to a couple of publishers. Got pick-up by Google around end of January I think and average 8 visitors a month no sales
do you think you can help?

Great tips, I downloaded the ebook and is working very hard. I have 3 len's and a few more under construction. It seems to be getting a little bit easier. I will keep you posted on the outcome.

Thanks again for all the valuable information.

Theresa,

Just because you're not receiving traffic doesn't necessarily mean you've chosen the wrong keywords. It takes time to get traffic and more than time it takes LINKS!!! How many links have you built to your gift lens? How many links using your targeted keywords as the anchor text ? It is links that will take your lens higher in the search engines for the targeted keywords.

There is a whole section in the articles page about building links for squidoo. :) There is the whole "get more traffic" section on the articles page for building links as well. :)

OK worked on my Gift Squidoo page this week however, after using what I thought were the correct search key words I have had not traffic. Re-did it again. If someone could look at the site and tell me another way to improve it I would definitely appreciate it.

Hi Lis,

Not sure if you can. The poll module only allows for one question with multiple answers. You might check at a free poll site like survey monkey ~ but not sure you could put the code in (if it would work with Squidoo) you could link to the survey at surveymonkey.com FROM your lens? That's what I'd look into doing.

Wow, Jackie. I admire you.

Please tell me how I can put a poll into my lens, a poll which allows for more than just one question.

Lis

Great DeAnna, yeah it's just one more thing in the money making arsenal. Let me know how it works for you!

I found this a bit after Christmas and I did incorporate some of what you taught in my last lens. I did this one specifically to help promote my ebook which is why it's not strictly a product lens. The next lenses I do will follow the blueprint. I really enjoyed reading it as it gave me another angle to look at when doing squidoo lenses.

Hi, I've been working on the Christmas Blueprint and I'm having a blast! I'm getting faster with practice. No sales yet, but I just started yesterday, and I don't have a blog. That's something else I intend to work on this week. Thanks for the blueprint!

Nancy

Hey Roth,

Hmmm... It seems the people who are coming around in the last few days seem to think they have to pick CHRISTMAS RELATED products ~ that's not the case at all. You can choose ANY product ~ people give all kinds of gifts for the holidays. This way it will keep working for you all year round. But anyway, that wasn't your question.

If you've done your research well and found a keyword with good search volume and low competition getting to the top of Google really shouldn't be much of a problem. Make sure you check out the "doing your research" category in the sidebar. Once you've done that and you know you have a "good" keyword. Make sure you check out the Everything you ever wanted to know about backlinking post. When it comes to ranking well in Google it's ALL about links.

You also want to make sure you grab the mindmap I created for this whole process. It's one page and really helps to keep you on track.

Otherwise ~ read the squidoo lens tutorial category and feel free to ask as many questions as you have ~ just try to keep them on related posts so they will help everyone that comes after you too. :)

oh and hey ~ guys are welcome too. This site was created in 07 ~ my internet marketing skills were not quite what they are today back then ~ who knew?

Oh, BTW, I am not a mom, and it will not be possible, because I am a guy. But I do think your blog will apply to everyone. :)

Hey, Jakie!

I just downloaded your e-book and I thought it was brilliant!

I had been researching for possible items, and found one already. But one thing scares me a little (OK, a lot) and that is ranking in high in Google. Can you post a few tips you employ in ranking high in search engines? Thank you.

Roth

The cool thing about these lenses is they are product based and will continue to make money for you throughout the year ~ the Christmas part is just the fact people have a deadline to buy ~ which creates many extra sales, but choosing a specific product gives you the ability to make sales throughout the year.

The point is NOT to find CHRISTMAS related products ~ it's to find ANY product that someone might give as a gift for Christmas. Here's the example lens I did. Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion table

Hello again Mrs. Jackie,

I reviewed the links that you game me (i don't mean to be a pest) and I admit that at first I did not find the one that you did keyword research on using the nightmare before christmas example on your blog. But it I do understand how you are doing this, but for some reason I cannot find anything through the keywords and through amazon to promote for christmas.

Ok ~ Here's the deal.

All of your questions are answered in posts I have referred you to. Click the links to read more about the topic:

Keyword research

Finding low competition keywords

how to find a product for a lens

All the answers are here. I've spent HOURS writing FREE content for you to use, you will have to take a little time and look through it though. Until I see a question from you on another post I'm going to consider this part of the conversation finished.

My problem is not the squidoo lens itself. In fact I already started one called 6 ways to become a chocolate candy making artist. I haven't researched any keywords. That's just what I called it . I got the ideal form bum marketing based on the books for dummies. They have a book on candy making for dummies. I just used a chapter on chocolate making artistry. In fact I do not know if that was the correct keyword phrase to use. I know that i need to do keyword research but when you have a product in mind, what is the basis for formulating the long tail keywords you are going to use. What do you say for your headline. I know it has to have a combination of whatever the original keywords were, but how do you put it together what you are going to say in you headline or something

As quickly as your answers have come I find it difficult to think you've gone and read any of the posts I recommended you read that might clear up some of your confusion.

No you are not supposed to just make something up. You need to do the research ~ which is digging around to find the keywords that will work for the product. Once you read some of the do your research and squidoo lens tutorial posts (find the category in the sidebar) you may find you need to dig a little deeper than a Bose product ~ which I'm sure is very competitive.

If you would like some 1 on 1 coaching I can help you with anything you want (related to Squidoo and supporting your lenses). We can go through creating a whole lens, we can do keyword research, answer questions whatever you need we can do. Depending on your questions and the time you get it will depend if you need to get a lens review as well. At $97 you can ask me questions all week ~ they can be questions about how your lens is going. :)

I suggest you go and read through the squidoo lens tutorials (and the comments on each post) ~ and then start asking specific questions in the comment section of a post that is relevant to your question. See if that can get you moving in the right direction and where you can take action.

Also there is a search box in the sidebar ~ it will help you find answers to questions you have. Just put a few words related to your question and it will pull up posts that might answer it.

Ok,

know right off the bat then I know that I am going to have a problem with what keywords to use then. I am trying to follow the Christmas Cash ebook. All day I only have found one product that has 1000 or more related searches. So, am I just susposed to make up something from (for example product) Bose Lifestyle 18 DVD Home Entertainment System 110 and place that in the lense. So anyway I need to have a product before I sign up with amazon anyway so I can make a blog around that. As far as the coaching is concerned I cannot afford the $497 package. I can however afford the $97 package. But then I would have to buy the seperate package for you to review my lense correct.

Hi Odie,

Not sure what all you are doing with PPG ~ but understand the Squidoo Christmas Cash blueprint is very different than One week marketing. Both work, they're just different. PPG wrote OWM and I wrote the Christmas cash blueprint ~ so although she told you about it you should ask me questions related to the blueprint. :)

You need to have a website of some sort ~ a blog at blogger will work just fine ~ check out my post from today on how to do that.

I don't think PPG does coaching. I do: www.SquidooChristmasCash.com there's a number of different packages so hopefully one will work well for you.

also I have tried to open a affiliate account with amazon. It will not let me because I do not have a website.

Do you know why? another thing, will you be doing the one-on-one coaching or will this be something done by Pot Pie girl?

Hi Odie,

Actually ~ it discusses an AVERAGE page rank of the FIRST PAGE results of 3 or less. Not any one specific site.

This has been answered quite a few times but the page rank of an Amazon page is not a concern. The site gets its page rank based on the authority of the site in general, not because of the links pointing to that specific page and can easily be outranked with link building. Then you will rank above the amazon listing.

If you take some time to read through the "doing your research" category here you will find that you may not be able to use the EXACT product name as a keyword because it won't have enough search volume ~ you may need to change it around a little bit to get something that will work. You want to find product based keywords with at LEAST 1000 searches a month.

Take a deep breath, and do a little more reading here ~ you'll find there are many tutorials outlining and answering your questions. If you have specific questions after reading the tutorials feel free to ask them in the comments on the tutorial.

To Whome This May Concern,

I have followed the Christmas Cash e-book downloaded form Pot Pie Girl to a tee. I have spent almost the whole day looking up products to promote from amazon. After plugging the items exact keyword into the google keyword tool (just as asked ad the ebook says) I get some monthly search volumes from 300-1000 but when I plug the exact keyword item into google my seo tool gives me the page rankings
and amazon is usually the the page ranking 3 or higher. The e-book specifically outlines that if another sites page ranking is 3 or less than I will be fine to build a lens around that product (I believe there was one other site that ranked 3rd but the average monthly search volume was only 110.), But wouldn't I be competing with amazon if I put up a lens around this item? In that case the buyer can just go to amazon themselves and buy the item.

Could someone really tell me whats going on?

Hi Jackie, I just wanted to thank you for your awesome advice!!! I received your blueprint information from PotPieGirl and was immediately motivated to create some Christmas lenses. I sat down and built 4 lenses right away!! I'm really new at Squidoo and your advice gave me a whole new perspective!! I'm very excited to see how these lenses will do.

Thanks again,
Kikij

I have never heard of that, so I can't tell you where to find it. I just do my lenses in a text document ~ like notepad ~ so you don't transfer the background code you can get from word. Then I add the bold and all that stuff using the editor in eza. Just write the articles ~ don't spend time beautifying them ~ they are pretty much just for links ~ Your time is better spent doing MORE articles than spending a ton of time making 1 look fantastic.

Hi Jakie,

I want to baclink my lens by submitting an article in Enzine articles and other article directories, but I just wanted to ask how do I get online editor, FCK do you have the link to that. I have read about it somewhere and I cannot remember where. With FCK you can highlight, make links live and so many other things.

It will help you sort your your article beforeyou post it to Enzine Articles. I found it online but somehow it won't work.

Finally I want to thank you again for helping me start.

The other thing is I would like you to review my lens after I have paid.

Hi Jackie
Need help!
Can't access the Christmas Cash Blueprint.
Thanks
Betty

Hi Everlie,

Congrats on finishing your first lens! Way to take action. It really will get easier every one you do. The first one is definitely the toughest, good job for following through.

Unfortunately I simply can't take a look at everyone's lenses. I don't have enough time in the day lol. However, if you'd like me to do a review of your lens to let you know if you're on the right track, what you can do better, and what' s just right I can do a lens review for you.

Jackie

I just finished my first lens! Please give it a looksee and tell me what you think.

It took me forever because I don't know CSS, and putting several elements together (alignment, color, clickable image, affiliate link, etc.) took a lot of trial and error. And while I love my Macbook, its tiny screen makes juggling windows a bit of a chore.

Thanks again for your great ebook. This is such a terrific idea. : )

Everlie

All right Jerri~~ congrats. Don't forget you can use the comments you make here for backlinks to your lenses by putting your kw in the name field and then your url in the url field of the comment area. Backlinks are what will get you traffic so make sure you're getting some!!

Good job getting your first lens done ~ that's a HUGE accomplishment. It gets easier as time goes on!!

Jackie - made my first Christmas lens (hopefully it will be "evergreen" even after Christmas with a few tweaks). I've challenged myself to spend 1 hour/day to see how much I can get done. I've found Squidoo easy to use, although I've been too much of a perfectionist in the past - but I've let all that go for the sake of speed (and more sales!). I'm looking forward to see how the rest of your readers do - if they make this a real goal for themselves.

@Kim It's a good idea to put up a blog ~ you can use a free blog at blogger ~ because then you have a space you can use to link back to your lenses. Backlinks are critical to get to the first page of Google. Following the Blueprint you shouldn't need many backlinks ~ but you will need some.

@Marsha Awesome!! Way to go. Just keep trying different things, some will work, and some won't, but you only know which ones work by trying different things. Just check the search volume and the competition. If you have no search volume, even if you get to #1 in Google no one will be coming to visit. The competition needs to be fairly low so you can actually make it to the top to get the traffic. Keep it up!! 30 is a great start!

Thanks for the excellent info and encouragement!
Have made 30 lenses...may not be targeting the right
products but time will tell.

Take care...

Jackie, this has to be one of the best ideas I've read about and so simple. The fact that Squidoo has an Amazon tool is wonderful. I created my first lens on Friday, but have yet to receive any traffic. Do you know if the other folks that are doing this also putting up a blog, or just the Squidoo lenses? I'm a newbie, but learn very fast and am currently in 'sponge' mode.

Thank you

Woo Hoo!! Congrats on getting started!!

Hi Jackie,

I finished my first lens on Sat. I am really glad to see others making money already. I am encourage to get a lens made everyday. I have so many products lined up.

Thanks for all your help

Bernita
