Having a Coach Changes Everything

Jun 27

There will come a time in your internet marketing career where you will want to give up.  You will feel frustrated, confused, angry and overwhelmed.  I know that time came for me on a number of occasions.  Lucky for me I am so persistent (some call it stubborn and hard headed) I just refused to give up.  I knew there had to be an answer out there.

I think my “why” kept me going, and my knowledge that it COULD be done.  I knew it could be done, there are people all over the place making money online.  I know from the law of attraction that if anyone can do something then EVERYONE can do the same.  So with the knowledge it was possible I just kept trudging along.

I finally came upon a plan ~ an internet marketing strategy really, and  from there I began to see some success. In fact, I started to see my monthly income double, and then triple.

This made me very happy, but there was this underlying concern. Am I really doing this right?  Am I setting this up right? Are the keywords I’ve chosen really good?

To put it simply there were questions.  Tons and tons of questions.  I didn’t have the answer for them.  I wasn’t going to give up so I just plowed ahead, and yet there were these questions.

The questions made me wonder, made me hesitate, made me hesitant.  I did a site, and would wait and wait to see what was going to happen. When it picked up and started moving I would then go ahead and start on another site.  All the while still not knowing if I really had the formula that was going to make them work.

Then came Courtney Tuttle.  I had found Court’s Internet Marketing School blog and had been reading and following it’s tips relentlessly.  I was following his plan. I was asking questions in the comments and he was answering them when he could.  I was feeling on track, but there were still the questions.

I think it’s just a fact of life, when you are learning something without a teacher to ask questions to, you continue to question your system and your ability, and of course the results you are going to get.

One morning I received an email from Court’s RSS feed. It said he was taking on new students. He was going to work one on one with people to help them take their businesses to the next level.

WOW. This seemed like quite an opportunity.  I raced over to his blog and read the page about the one on one coaching program.  He had me sold.  Then I looked for a price.  NOTHING. Instead, there was a form I had to fill out, and then I had to speak to someone in person.  OMG.  NO WAY.

Jeez, can’t you just tell me how much it costs so I can so “Oh I can’t afford that” and go on my merry way?

No go.  So I almost left that page.

I thought very much about just clicking the back button and going on with my day.  However, I had set an intention at the beginning of the year.  A very specific intention for what I will be earning by the end of this year.  I KNOW that the universe provides me with exactly what I need exactly when I need it. Always.

I filled in the form.  I just knew this was going to be exactly what I needed to manifest my lofty but very reachable intention.

I heard from one of Court’s staff that day or maybe it was the next, I don’t really remember. I do remember being nervous as hell during that interview.  Would he pick me? Would I be good enough to be Court’s student? Would I be able to afford it?

My interview came about a few days after I talked with Mark.  I had some time to think about how much I could afford and what I was willing to invest in myself and my business.  When Mark finally got to the price it was almost exactly what I had determined I could spend.

To add a little more LOA to the story the very day I spoke with Mark I found out I was going to have some money becoming available that I had not intended on.  More than enough to cover my Internet marketing coaching with Court.

Everything was just lining up. I knew it was the right thing.  Now, understand, Court’s coaching is not cheap.  I went ahead and joined the program, and pulled the ole “sometimes you have to ask for forgiveness instead of permission” line with my husband, and although he was quite leery, he knew I was headed in the right direction and needed some help.

The day came when I finally had my first session with Court.  I was nervous as hell! I don’t know why ~ I mean I’m paying him right?

Anyway, we were off and running. All the questions I had ~ answered.  I have since gained a level of confidence I have never felt around what I’m doing to earn money online. I know exactly what I need to do, when to do and how to do it.

When I have questions I can just shoot them over to Court and he answers them. Bang, instant confidence boost.

I have put up more sites this week than I have since I started this strategy.  Why? Because I know I’m doing it right. I know they are going to work. I know my keywords are good. I know I’m not running off in the wrong direction wasting my time.  I have confidence in what I’m doing.

It’s amazing what one simple “yeah that’s exactly what we want a site to look like” does for your confidence and how excited it gets you to get back out there and do more.

What’s even more exciting is this. I get to keep it forever.  All this confidence, all the information, knowledge, know how. It’s mine forever!!!  It’s been implemented, it’s been used, it’s in my brain. It’s no longer just information in a book, it’s information in my head that I know how to use.

I think you get it, but I’ll say it right here, right now, (and I really never thought I would be saying this) Get a coach.

Find a coach you know, like and trust, who is using an internet marketing strategy you enjoy and believe in. It will make all the difference.  I will add one caveat to this though, do not spend more than you can afford. Do not invest more than you have available.  Putting yourself in debt for coaching will be counterproductive. Any good coach will know that and will make sure you do too.  I know Court did. They asked me more than once to make sure this wasn’t going to negatively impact my family.  That’s a sign of a good coach.  And he is.

  1. Choosing a right Internet marketing coach can really help to shorten your learning curve. These are some of the factors to consider:
    1. Is the coach making money from selling products, services or just making money information? You better choose a coach with the type of selling experience you want to do.
    2. Has the coach created real successful students, with name, and website addresses you can verify?
    3. What type of support the coach is offering? Email support alone may not be sufficient. It will be best if he has a team to support.

    Any other points to add?

    Hi there Jackie,

Very nice post and I too am now considering working with Court 1 on 1 after having an interview with Mark on the phone earlier today.

I am considering going ahead with this but I do have a question to you about this. A bit direct but it’s important that I know before I can make the big investment. Are you seeing income coming in directly as a result of taking this coaching with Court or is it too soon to tell?

I understand that it’s great to have the knowledge that he gives you but I’m obviously hoping and wanting a return on such big investment in terms of money and of course education.

If you could let me know in an email or follow up to this post it would be much appreciated!

Best regards and hope you’re well.

    Samuel.

  3. Oh, I am SO jealous! Court is excellent and I know he will be so helpful (and inspirational).

I hope you’ll post more about your experience with his coaching, Jackie. I know I would love to read it.

    Best of luck to you!

    Jennifer
