How to Get Backlinks with Zemanta

Are you trying to figure out how to get backlinks to your site? Are you tired of writing article after article for backlinks? Me too. I have found another great backlink tool to add to my arsenal, and this one takes no additional work than just writing your blog posts.
Remember a while back I mentioned how Zemanta was THE must have add on for bloggers? Well, it turns out I was more right than I even knew.
Over the last couple weeks I have been using Zemanta on this blog, and my others. I recently started noticing more and more entries in my “incoming links” section of my dashboard. I did not recognize where they were coming through so I clicked through to check them out. To my surprise they were all “related websites” posted by Zemanta on other people’s websites.
Here’s what makes this so great, besides getting nice one way backlinks.
1. The anchor text for your link is the title of your post. If you choose your titles wisely, using good keywords, you will have a perfectly anchored backlink to your site.
2. Zemanta pulls posts that are relevant and related to the page they are being supplied for. This means your perfectly anchored backlink will also be on a perfectly related page!
This is the holy grail of how to get backlinks. They are one way, on a real site, that is relevant to your link, and it is perfectly anchored with YOUR keywords. It doesn’t get much better than that, and all of this just for using a little tool called Zemanta that makes your life as a blogger easier anyway!
If you haven’t started using Zemanta yet, I sure don’t know why. It’s totally free and seems to be giving me some seriously awesome benefits.

Hi Neil, it can be but the point of this post is that when zemanta pulls related posts it uses the title of your post ~ so if you have used your keywords in your post it’s done for you quite easily in this instance.

it doesn’t really have anything to do with the version of wordpress. I haven’t had to update zemanta and I’m now running wp 3.0. Still works great

Zemanta is a WordPress plug in as well as a Firefox add on. I have it installed on my blog Green Questions And Answers .
It’s worth mentioning that it’s got a fantastic picture-finding function. It scans my post and automattically finds pictures to go with the words. It’s amazing and saves me loads of time.
Zemanta is a real find!
Stephen, that’s the point of an add on for firefox ~ it will work on all blogging platforms. It’s not a plugin ~ it works through firefox and whatever blogging platform you use while using firefox it will show up. So blogger, or tumblr or even myspace it shows up so you can use it. And yes the picture finder is the best.

Hey Jim,
There are lots and lots of ways to get backlinks. My favorite way is to make sure you submit your blog to as many RSS directories as you can find. That way whenever you make a new post you are getting new links.

Zemanta huh , I never heard of it but Im definitely going to check it out . I have been trying to build up my backlinks so anything helps. If you have other ways to get more backlinks . I would love to know it , please email .

We can get backlinks with zemanta and backlinks is one of the best and most effective ways to get high positions in search engines and milk these positions for targeted traffic. But getting quality one way links is a big job.

no it’s not a plugin ~ it’s an add on for firefox. It works across the board on any blogging site ~ so if you are blogging at blogger.com or wordpress or even myspace it will work in all those spaces. Super cool.
