How to Make More Money with Social Networking

In a general trend to be less yes or no, black or white and live a little more in the middle  I have again delved a little bit back into the realm of social networking.

I know there are people who will say “search traffic is the only way to make real money online”, and I used to be one of them.

There are other people who say “social media is where the internet’s going, it’s the best way to get traffic”, and I used to be one of them too.

I have to think there is a way to live in the middle of this argument and get the best of both worlds.  (OMG did I just quote Hannah Montana? The world really must be coming to an end)

Anyway, to get back on topic I have been trying to find a way to explain to people how to use social media to their benefit. It has been a long term “conversation” from way back when I used to only use myspace to get traffic.

Today I found an excellent video on Ryan Diess’s blog and snagged it to show you all. It is an amazing explanation of how to use social media to create more traffic and of course make more money online.

I hope you enjoy it. I certainly did and it gave me great clarity about why and how to use social media to make money and get traffic.

Enjoy the video and let me know what you think.

Don’t forget to follow me on twitter! ;)

    Hey Stef,

I’ve had the same problem too. I’ve gone from one end to the other, and I’ll tell you what this is a way that feels REALLY GOOD! I know when something feels good I’m going to be able to stick with it, and follow through.

Consistency and follow through are what it’s all about right?

    Glad you enjoyed the video.

    GREAT video.
This is something I struggle with. I don’t struggle with the social aspects, but deciding if family stuff, marketing stuff, etc… should be separate or what

    This video really helped out.

    Thanks,
    Stef
