How to Use Unique Article Wizard to Add Unique Content To Your Blog

2009 November 25
by Jackie

uniquearticlewizardWell you’ve been asking so here it is. Today I’m going to show you how to use Unique Article Wizard to put free unique content on your blog. Before we get into the nuts and bolts let’s talk about when and why this might be a good idea, and when it’s NOT a good idea.

When is it a good time to use UAW for free content?

When deciding whether or not to use unique content from UAW you need to think about the PURPOSE of the blog you’re getting ready to put that content on.  If it is just a linking blog then go for it. Relevant unique content can only make it better.

If you’re creating an article directory site ~ this would be a GREAT way to populate your directory.

When is it a BAD idea to use UAW to create content?

If this is a money blog ~ do NOT use unique content from UAW. All of the articles will come to your blog with links in them ~ those links will point to other people’s affiliate links ~ you do not want other people’s links on a money site ~ you just want YOUR links on it.

So now we are going forward with the assumption you are working on a linking blog for this task. (A blog whose sole purpose is to give you quality links back to your “money” page)

Step 1.

Get an email address for your blog. If you are using Blogger it’s pretty simple. Just go to the settings area, and then click the “email & mobile” tab. This will take you to a place where you can create an email address for this blog. It doesn’t matter what it is ~ just make it up, no one will be sending email to this address except  for UAW.

This video will show you the process of creating an email address for your blogger blog.

Step 2.

Go to UAW and log in ~ you may have to create an account if you don’t have one. Go to the main page and click the “blogger login” link at the very bottom of the page. Now don’t freak out ~ just because you’re going to the sales page doesn’t mean you have to pay. This is a free service they offer.

Step 3.

Once you get to the blogger’s area you will see a link to receive articles to a new email address. This is what you click and then fill in the information about the blog you want the articles to go to. It’s basic stuff, the email address you just created, the name, url etc. This is ALL information regarding the BLOG you want the articles to go to.

This video will walk you through that part:

Once you’ve filled in all your blog information you will need to select keywords. These keywords will let UAW know what articles to send to your blog. Make sure you are specific and relevant when you choose the keywords. If you are working on a really tight niche you will probably have to add your own keywords in the box on the right hand side. You want to get articles that are relevant, but just remember if you go too tight other people may not be writing articles on that topic. So if you are working on your Christmas Cash lenses you might choose product reviews, or you can type in keywords related to gifts or holidays ~ all of those things will be relevant to the gift lenses you want to link to from this blog.

Once you’ve chosen your keywords and filled in the whole page make sure you click update and test. Before the test post will be able to be sent you will have to click the confirm link from UAW. This will be sent to your blog, and since you’ve chosen post directly for your email address it will just show up as a blog post. It can take a little bit of time for this post to get to your blog ~ so be patient if it’s not there immediately.

Once the post is there just click the confirmation link ~ it will say it’s a confirmation link right there in the post. You can then go into your edit posts area and delete that post. You don’t need/want it to stay on your blog.

Once you’ve confirmed the email address works you will recieve your test post ~ you’ll again see it appear on your blog just like a regular blog post. It will say something to the affect of  this is a test post from UAW ~ once you know the service is working (and you will know once you get the test message) you can go into the edit posts section again and delete that post.

Here’s a video showing this last piece:

Once you have that finished you should begin receiving articles from UAW. Remember though, that it can only send you articles when someone writes an article where they use keywords in their articles you’ve chosen to go to your blog. If you don’t receive articles immediately don’t panic. Just wait a day or two and see what happens. If you still haven’t received any articles in a couple days go back into your account at UAW and add some more keywords, or make your keywords a little broader so you’re more likely to match up your keywords with keywords UAW authors are using.

This looks complex but it’s really just following the directions as laid out at UAW ~ there is an entire page of directions there so you might also use those if you get stuck. (It uses images instead of video ~ so if you don’t like video check out that link instead) If you get really stuck ask questions in the comments section and I’ll do my best to help you get through it.

Let’s Review the Basic steps:

1. Create an email address for your blogger blog.

2. Go to UAW ~ fill in blog information including email address, name, url, keywords etc.

3. Click update and test.

4. Click the confirmation link in the first post that will be sent to your blog.

5. Delete that post.

6. Check out the test post to make sure it’s working all right.(this will be the next post posted directly to your blog)

7. Delete the test post.

8. Add a post or two in case it takes a while for UAW to send you posts.

9. Add a “link list” gadget to your sidebar.

10. Link to your “money” pages using the link list gadget.

Thanks Jackie, this sounds fantastic! I have two existing Blogger Blogs that I can use it on. I’m itching to get going.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

I purchased Magic Article Rewriter It seems way to much trouble well to tell the truth I cannot even understand the directions. What is your opinion and experience. And with UAW which I also have do I need Magic Article submitter. I am going all out on wp Niche sites.

    Thanks have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Henry ~ super, just make sure you pick categories/keywords so your content will be relevant.

Wayland ~ I have not used magic article rewriter so I can’t give you an opinion. You do not need a submitter for UAW. (which I have never heard of either lol) I do it all by hand, and it doesn’t take that long.

I have yet to use UAW but I think in the future I will probably add it to my arsenal, but for now I’m staying focused on my current strategy!

I hate to get off topic (I think I do that a lot) but I wanted to mention that even though I don’t pay a ton of attention to the heath tab in squidoo, the backlink checker in squidutils has been really helpful. It shows which sites are pointing to my lens and this has helped me figure out which backlinks are being found the quickest. All of the links are pretty consistent throughout all of my lenses, so now I have a more strategic approach with my backlinking. I use the places that have been giving me the best and quickest links first, and then move on from there!! This may not be that big of a deal, but it just helps me get even more organized any be that much more efficient with my plan, instead of being all over the place.. Thanks again for all the valuable information!!

    Jackie,

Do we follow these same directions (or similar) for a Wordpress blog for our Christmas Cash Blog?

    Have a great Turkey Day!!

Jackie, this is probably old hat to you but I thought I’d submit this for the sake of the group as it took me a lo-o-ng lo-o-ng time to find on the UAW site.

    Question:
I have multiple web sites on which I wish to use the plugins. When I set up my preferences, should I create a unique account/email address for each or can I just use the one?

    Answer:
Each plugin is recorded in our database using the domain name as the unique identifier, so you can use the same email address, passwords, etc for all the other details. In fact, you can set up each control panel in exactly the same way, and it should all work fine. For blogspot/email delivery, however, you do have to use a different destination email address for each listing (for obvious reasons!).

Thanks Jackie for this post. This has been on my to-do list for the longest time and now I can just go and get it done without having to research the how-to’s, THANKS TO YOU!!!!!! :D :) :D

I do have a question on this though. I have Google adsense on my blog. Do you think I should keep it on my blog if I’m going to use the UAW to add content to my blog?

I hope you and your family have an awesome TURKEY DAY! Enjoy! :D

    Thanks!

You’re welcome. You can leave it on, but unless the blog is getting decent traffic I would just turn it off. If you start getting traffic no reason why you can’t turn it back on.

I don’t exactly understand what you mean when you say a “money site”. If I’m doing a Cash for Christmas site is that what you mean by a money site? If I’m trying to sell something like an Amazon product is that a money site?

    Hi Jackie,

Is anyone else having problems logging in to the Bloggers Control Panel on UAW? I keep receiving the message below which is highlighted in red. Have tried the suggestions, but still won’t allow me access. I signed up earlier today, and all was working fine. But then this evening when I tried to sign back in, I got the message below – Anyone else having trouble?

    Thanks & Happy Thanksgiving!

Pat ~ your money page is the page where you link to the affiliate product. So if you are dong Christmas cash lenses your money page is your lens. It’s the you have created to make money from (as apposed to a page you have created to link from).

Kim ~ that happens to me sometimes too, just give it a little time and then try again.

    Hiya Jackie!

I just wanted to let everyone know that UAW DOES work for getting your lenses on the front page of Google because my Lens for Definitive Technology Speakers was on page 14 when I first checked it, and now it is on page 3!! The only other thing that I’ve done besides UAW is to add 2 different blog posts to my backlinks and that’s it! So, I’m very happy with UAW!!! I will continue to monitor my lens to see if UAW will push my lens all the way to page 1. If not, I will add more backlinks. But I just wanted to let everyone know that UAW really works!!!

And of course, thank you Jackie for recommending UAW! :D

    Thanks!

Looks great (for a linking site) – thank you for showing us about this ;)

Tried to create an account at UAW but they asked for payment info. I’m not ready to pay a monthly fee to use this yet. I can’t find the free sevice.

If I knew this would be a benefit I wouldn’t mind paying for the service. But as of right now I have no idea if this is worth it or not.

This is a free service they offer. You have to go to the bottom of the page and click the blogger login link and sign up there.

I tried it again and they still request payment info. ($67 a month… wow)Is there more than one blogger login link at the bottom of the sales page?

I don’t mean to bother you with this and I do appreciate all that you’ve done. So I’ll just move on.

Wait a minute, I am confused. (not that that is new!)

First you say “If this is a money blog ~ do NOT use unique content from UAW.”

    then you go on with:
“So now we are going forward with the assumption you are working on a linking blog for this task. (A blog whose sole purpose is to give you quality links back to your “money” page)”

How does a linking blog with other peoples links link back to your money page?

    I’m missing something here.

  19. 2009 November 30

You use the sidebar of the blog to add your links.

    Jackie,

I’ve been rereading these posts tonight and I have a question. Are you recommending that we use UAW on our Christmas Cash Blog that points to our lenses or not? I’m not sure if understood the above posts correctly?

You can use it for the Christmas cash blogs ~ using gifts/holidays as your keywords in UAW ~ that way you have posts related to what your are linking to. Then link to your lenses in the sidebar ~ or write posts linking to them whichever you prefer.

I have been using UAW for awhile now, with mixed results. In some cases, my spun articles in UAW have the same keyword in the article title as my squidoo lens, and those articles are ranking will above my lens. In some cases, I can’t find my lens at all for the keyword, despite UAW having posted articles to hundreds of sites.

When using UAW, should the title of the articles use different titles (keywords) than the keyword title that is in the squidoo lens title?

  23. 2009 December 7
    Jackie permalink

Yes ~ your article doesn’t even need to be on the same topic ~ just something related.

say your lens is about the ironman inversion table ~ you could write an article about curing back pain, or something like that ~ then you use your resource box to link to the best choice for curing back pain. You don’t want your articles to compete with your lenses for your keywords. You might want to check out this post on product benefits again.

I thought that I had this done but I did not. I created an email address that is different than my blog address. But the email address I created to recieve the articles does not exist. I only did that to set up the article wizzard account. So my question is where will the articles go. If they go to the email address I created then do I have to start another blog to recieve those emails?

  31. 2010 January 22

If you set it up for the articles to come to your email address you can put them wherever you want. You can just copy/paste the articles from your email into any blog. Just make sure you keep the resource box and all that in tact.

    1. Decide what you want. Do you want them to come to your email? Do you want them to go to a blogger blog?
