Let’s look at how to use pictures and video to connect with your network. It can be one of the most powerful ways to connect with others. A friend of mine made her first million by signing everything she sent out or posted with her name and a tagline “you gotta see my pictures”. Her pictures showed her life, her loves, her family and all the amazing things she was doing. Through those pictures people got to know her, and wanted to be part of her life, and her business.
Pictures and Video:
The saying is “A picture is worth a thousand words” I can only imagine how many words that makes video worth.
This is the last area I am going to cover for myspace.
Myspace allows you have an unlimited number of photos for each of your myspace pages. People love photos. Photos allow people to get to know you on a whole other level. The photo section of myspace also allows comments on photos. I always enjoy looking at what others have to say about my photos.
Photos make you a real human being. People feel like they really KNOW you when they can see who you are, and see pictures of your family, friends, vacations, your life. Add some photos.
When someone comments on your photos that is an excellent time to send them a message or a comment thanking them for the comment and maybe asking them a question that refers to the comment or photo. It is an excellent time to get into conversation with the person. And that is what this kind of marketing is all about, right? Getting to know people!!!
Video:
I have to say I have fallen down in this area myself. But I can certainly recognize the viral nature of video. If you can put together a video and upload it to myspace, youtube or google with the last frame of your video being a link to your homepage you can get a lot of viral traffic.
Your video can be about anything. I have made one video called “The Wisdom of the Secret” I had so much fun doing it and it just lifts my spirits each time I watch it. I send it as a comment or in a message sometimes. It has my website URL as the last frame which gives people the opportunity to get to know me better. When I send the video in a message I encourage the person to send it to their friends if they liked it. That gives me access to a whole other network I wouldn’t have had. That’s how things go viral, when one friend sends it to another then another. Now your website is in front of all those eyes, and all you did was make the video.
We will discuss more about viral marketing with videos in another post. Just know that you have the option to upload them at myspace and it can be a very effective way to get into conversation with people you may not have otherwise come across.
Myspace is not just for the kids anymore. It is a huge arena that is perfect for vibrational marketing. You have all the people you could ever imagine, for free, and all you have to do is get to know them. So go out there, put up a page and start a conversation.
