Productivity ~ What it means in 2008
I’ve been reading around other blogs in the last few days and one of the main themes I am hearing from people is you should start posting less.
This one little statement sends chills down my spine.
Post LESS? What?
After I spent all this time getting myself to a place where I easily blogged every day?
I think I worry if I don’t post every day I will get lazy and just forget to post.
This blog has been a delightful exercise is consistency, and I don’t want to mess it up.
However, the reasons I’m hearing for posting less kind of make sense.
If you are posting less you can spend more time to write better posts. The more quality you provide in your posts the better.
If you post less your posts will be on the front page longer which allows more people to read it, see it, bookmark it, digg it, which is all better for you.
If you cut out a couple posts a week you have more time to put toward other projects you “just don’t have time for”
Hmmmm. . . I must admit time management can be a challenge for me. I’ve been wondering how I was going to get it all done with new projects and clients coming on board.
One of my favorite bloggers Skellie, over at Skelliewag wrote a great post on productivity today. I’m going to try to implement some of the strategies and I encourage you to take a look and do the same.
