Top 5 Reasons I Chose Lunarpages Web Hosting
I know a lot about quite a few things online ~ hosting is not one of them.
This blog is hosted with Lunarpages and I have been incredibly happy with them. Here are the top 5 things, as a beginner, I looked for in a hosting company.
1. Outstanding Customer Service: Like I said I am a complete beginner when it comes to hosting. I called Lunarpages when I was searching for a hosting company. I did not even know enough to know what questions I should be asking. I know I wanted to host a wordpress blog. The customer service rep was incredibly patient. She walked me through the process, and what I would need for what I wanted to do. She described all the packages to me and assisted me in deciding which package would best for my needs. She spent almost 20 minutes on the phone with me that day, and I got her without being put on hold. When I ran into the “Email Could Not Be Sent. . . “ error I called Lunarpages. I was immediately connected to a customer service rep. He spent over 20 minutes on the phone with me researching and trying to figure out what the issue was. Granted he finally told me it was a wordpress issue and I needed to find the answer from them, but he did spend a lot of time trying to help.
2. Fantastico: This is an amazing feature, and a must have for beginners to hosting. Fantastico allows you to upload programs with one click. You just click the icon, it asks you if you really want to do this, you say yes, and then it’s done. You don’t have to mess with databases or anything. Lunarpages offers a wide array of scripts you can install with Fantastico including 3 different blog scripts, content management scripts, photo gallery scripts, shopping cart scripts and many more. I have not used these yet, except for Wordpress. It really was just a two click process. I am hoping to put together a photo gallery soon. 
(I’m pretty excited about being able to have all Hanna’s pics in one spot, under my control)
3. Awesome ~ Responsive Forums: I have had a few “how-to” questions since getting started at Lunarpages. I have asked questions in the forums and received answers very quickly. In fact the last question I asked was more like being in a chat than a forum. The moderators are very knowledgeable and extremely willing to help you out. I got excellent, clear instructions on how to solve my problem.
4. Tutorials: Lunarpages provides tons and tons of tutorials, both video and written. They are easy to understand and make getting things done at Lunarpages easy and quick.
5. My Power Mall Member: Lunarpages belongs to MPM, so I know it is a reputable company and I also received a nice rebate for my purchase. You can shop through my power mall and pay me, or you can get your own free power mall and get a rebate yourself!
6. FREE Coffee Cup Software: When you purchase hosting with Lunarpages, you get a fully active real copy of Coffee Cup Design software.
Those are my top 5 things (and one extra) I love about Lunarpages hosting. Sorry there was no mention or list of the packages, the bandwidth available, FTPs and all that. Quite frankly, I didn’t know much about that stuff, so it didn’t really factor in when I was making my decision. I did do some comparing and contrasting to other companies, and found the numbers were equal if not better, and the price was right. After learning and being involved with hosting a little more I realize that Lunarpages provides competitive services and pricing.
I am really happy with my choice of hosting companies. If you are looking for a good, easy to use hosting company I highly recommend Lunarpages.

Fantastico is like a magic program installer.
I’d check with your hosting company ~ find your welcome email and see who they are ~ and if they have fantastico. It’s pretty important and most companies these days have fantastico.
