Why a Wahm Web 2.0 Resource Guide?
It doesn’t take much looking around to see the web is changing. It is getting more and more social as the days go on. Word of mouth can be your best friend of your worst enemy and either way is one of your best ways to get traffic to your site.
I put together this guide to Mom related Web 2.0 resources, for myself and to share with you. In a Web 2.0 world it is imperative to get involved with your niche, get to know them, provide useful information, be friendly and be part of the community.
Lucky for me, my “niche” is me! That makes it even more fun when doing my “job” and looking for resources.
Here they are, Interactive Mom, WAHM, and Business sites to get you involved in your Niche community.
Forums/Communities: Forums/Communities are a great way to meet people like yourself. Get into conversation and once you’ve provided good conversation or interesting info, leave a link to your site in your sig file. *Make sure you read the rules around sig files, each and every community and forum is different. *

Blog Directories: Add your blog to these directories and you will find you get more traffic, and you’ll have some good backlinks too. You will probably have to put a button up on your site in return for being listed. They are usually pretty cute and you can put them together in one spot. There are tons of directories out there I tried to keep these to mom specific directories.

In a Web 2.0 world the best thing a WAHM can do to increase her traffic and her business is get involved. Community abounds in this new day and age online, it doesn’t take much to find people to talk to and places to get involved.
I suggest you find 5 forums, and 5-10 blogs. Read, post and comment on them every day. You will be amazed at the movement you see on your blog/site/business!
Good luck and have fun!
