Web Traffic Tips: Backlink Packets

Even after my post a few days ago about changing the mindset of getting traffic I know most of you still want to build links to get some Google love. That’s ok ~ Google traffic is free, and once it’s established it’s pretty much hands off so I understand.
The question then becomes:
How do I build enough links?
Thus far we have been creating a lot of content to add our links to, which means a lot of writing. I also realize not everyone loves to write or finds writing easy to do. For those of you who fall into that category I’ve got a treat for you today.
Backlink Packets.
I found out about backlink packets not too long ago. These kind of links are totally different than anything we’ve done thus far. There’s no writing involved.
What is a backlink packet?
Basically someone has gone through the web and found places you can put links to your site. They have put all these sites together in one packet and will sell it to you.
What kind of sites are you talking about?
These kind be any kind of site where you can leave a link so you’re looking at forums (where you can leave a link in the profile and signature areas) blogs (where you can leave links in your name field) they also manage to dig up some great .edu and .gov sites where you can leave links. These are especially great because .edu and .gov links are considered much better in the eyes of google than just about anything.
How does it work?
You buy your link packet. It comes to you probably in a zip file. You open the document and you’ll be given a list of urls. You go one by one to each url, find the place where you can leave your link and then do what you need to do to leave the link ~ whether it’s open an account and create a profile or leave the comment etc. You do that over and over and over again, getting links for each page of your site to help it do better in the search engine rankings.
Does it work?
Yeah, it works. There’s been plenty of people who have used just this method and ranked quite well with their sites.
Is it easy?
Well that depends on your version of easy. I find it can be a little bit frustrating, looking around and finding where the links go and then doing what needs to be done to create the link. But keep in mind ~ I think writing is easy. 
Are there instructions?
It depends who you get your packet from. There are basically 2 places I recommend you get your packets from.
1. Angela’s packets. Angela sells her packets through the Warrior forum. She does it all by hand and provides step by step by step instructions for each of the sites. She walks you through exactly where to go and what to do when you get there. You will get 30 links each month. The first month is free so this is a great way to get started and see if you will follow through with this method before you spend money on it.
2. 5000 Backlinks. This product comes from Lynn Terry. It is a one time payment and you will receive 5000 places to link from. She also sends you more links each month so it’s the best of both worlds. In addition to the links Lynn has added some great extras including a plan on how to get started and make this process work. She also includes a “secret trick” to get your sites indexed and 20 backlinks to them within a day or two (and it only takes 5 seconds to do it). I’ve tried this on a brand new site and it worked quite well. If you know you want to do this method of backlink building I would definitely go with this larger packet and not worry about a month to month thing, since you’re going to get more monthly links as well. There are no “instructions” on where to find the place to link ~ you’ll have to figure it out, but it’s not that hard to recognize once you’ve been doing it for a while.
Pros of this type of linking:
- You don’t have to write.
- You can easily outsource this for cheap.
Cons of this type of linking:
- Some of the linking places will change their policy as more and more people do this incorrectly, so when you get there you may find you are unable to create your link.
This is not that big of a deal because there are more than enough places to link from ~ but be aware it does happen and it’s part of the deal.
- It can be confusing trying to find where to link from
So if you are running a micro niche site or are looking to get most of your traffic from Google this is a fantastic way to build links to get your keywords ranking. The Angela’s packet wasn’t an affiliate link. Now that I think about it they have disallowed link packets in WSOs at the Warrior Forum ~ I’m not sure where she’s selling her packets from now. Maybe google it and see if you can find them.

I’ve learned about Angela backlinks in DP forum when I purchased a list of .gov and .edu sites and forums in one of the members there.
He said that it is also as effective as what Angela Backlinks are.
But anyway, thanks for this post. I learn another reliable source that have those quality sites to get more backlinks.
I will buy soon after I finished launching all my niche blogs.

Good post Jackie. I have been using Angela’s packet for three months focusing on two sites. Have seen increased traffic on these two and the price is reasonable.

Pat you will be given a link to a site ~ you will have to look around and figure out where you can leave the link, whether it’s in a comment, or in the profile area etc. The link they give you only leads you to the site.
Angela walks you through the entire process of creating the link once you get to the site as well. I would recommend Angela’s for you if you are thinking about doing this.

The only thing with Angela’s packet now is that she has added password protection through some kind of a system and it doesn’t work on a Mac. Previously I had no trouble opening and reading the documents. Now I cannot, so I’ve had to unsubscribe from her service. I actually asked her in advance when she sent the notice that she was going to do this, but she wasn’t very helpful, and has sent no reply to my last email to her saying that I was not able to open the document now.

Isn’t the link the url? Or are you talking like look in the comments area in a blog? Or What?
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of backlink packages before. It’s also the sort of thing I would have avoided if I had. I’m actually starting to enjoy this way of linking. It’s a nice little break from writing. I do a little of this then some forum commenting and it gives my mind a little break. These are both great packages. Lynn’s has a lot of .edu and .gov sites.

Ok – here’s a testimonial update about Angela’s backlinks. I have only used approximately 15 of the links and one of my pages moved from spot 26 on Google to spot 7 overnight! Seriously, this was EASY! Angela gives you step-by-step instructions to follow so you absolutely cannot make a mistake.

I have read a sales pitch for another program awhile ago about Google placing more weigh on .gov and .edu sites but it sounded like too much work for the price of the program. For $5.00 a month and the first 30 days free, I signed up and will give it a try. Thanks Jackie for the info.
I’ve been doing these for about 2 weeks now. I decided to start with my product lenses from Christmas Cash Blueprint, because generally (according to MicroNiche Finder
) the keywords are very low competition, and I figured those lenses would benefit quickly from some good links. I’ve been going through all my lenses, making 5 links per lens (some of my ‘favorite’ lenses have a couple more).
All I’ll say is that the results have been MUCH better than what I was getting with article backlinks.

I like Lynn’s package because it’s so big there’s plenty of links to go around without looking spammy ~ and depending on the links I think it will be fine anyway.
I pick 3 posts/pages a day to link to. Build 5 links a day to those pages/posts. If you think you need a bunch of links you can stick with those pages/post all week or switch up everyday, and just rotate through things.

So are you saying that it is ok to choose squidoo and articles as well as webpages to link to in your 5 links a day idea?

yes you can absolutely use them to link to lenses/articles etc. Anything you want to rank in Google.
You could do it a couple ways. You could choose a few things you want to link to that month and then do a few links to them each day until you run out. Or you could pick one thing and use all the links on it. Or you could use each link multiple times on whatever you need to link to. You’ll need to do separate accounts (which means separate) emails for some of them I imagine. If you are providing good content in places like blog comments I think you’ll be fine if you use each link more than once. Just make sure you follow her instructions.

I’m trying out Angela’s packet and have read A LOT of the forum q & a’s so far…just waiting for my handy dandy little packet : )
Couple questions for you. Do you suggest using the same 30 monthly backlinks for my site, squidoo pages AND articles? It seems that could really help, but could it be looked at as spammy?
Also, how do you choose which pages to backlink? Meaning, if you have say 50 pages, which is what i have so far, which ones would you choose to backlink? I hope that makes sense.

I have used Angela’s Backlink Package and I really like it as I don’t like to write!
Angela gives you exact instructions on how and where to find the places to put your links in, so it isn’t that hard if you can follow directions. Thus, if you are like me and don’t like to write, I recommend getting Angela’s packet to get your backlinks! And the price can’t be beat… free for the first month and then just $5/month thereafter!!!

But I do have another question I couldn’t find the answer for. If I am using these backlinks for a niche blog…do I need to do this for every post or just for the main web address?

If you have targeted keywords in each post then I would build links to each post using the targeted keywords as the anchor text.
You want all your posts and keywords to rank on Google so you need links to them all.

Thanks for the info Jackie! I know that backlinks are vital to getting your website ranked high with Google, but isn’t it also important that you have “high quality” backlinks?
I guess I’ve been doing WAY too much reading about backlinks – but I’d love to have your opinion. I was under the impression that Google loves backlinks from sites that are within your niche.
What I mean is…if my website is about dogs – wouldn’t it be more beneficial to get a backlink from another dog-related site -vs- a site about tape?
LOL – I’m such a newbie! I would appreciate any thoughts you might have on this. I just want to know before I go out and spend money on Angela’s list.

Could you give more details about how to outsource say Angelas packets for cheap as you stated in your post? I’ve never outsourced any work and would like to know how to get started and what the cost might be for this type of linkbuilding work.
