Really enjoyed your article.
Thank you for sharing your insights on the benefits of guest posting, and a clear, almost step by step procedure, with encouragements.
I believe guest posting can also be part of a larger plan for an exchange of posts, to benefit both bloggers’ websites, but like you said, before even putting your blog/brand/reputation on another’s site, it’s very important to research their site and assure that your guest post will be mutually beneficial.

Hi Ryan,
That’s true for sure ~ but it can be hard sometimes to tell what kind of traffic a blog gets ~ comments are a pretty good indicator of an active blog, and interaction on a guest post is always a plus.

Guest posting multiplies your presence. Your audience grows substantially by posting on other blogs. Always feel free to return the favor; everybody loves a person who’s willing to set aside some blog real estate for an aspiring fellow blogger.

One thing to keep in mind. Don’t judge a blog solely by the number of comments viewed. Some blogs with high page rank aren’t dialog-driven. If it has great content and an inviting author guest post without question!

Excellent information a bout guest posting. I too just recently started to try guest posting. It’s not that hard: you just have to do it.

All you really need to do is tell yourself to do it, and be open minded. This is what just happened to me the other day: I was just doing my forum rounds, and someone with a pretty good blog readership said she had a question from a reader and she didn’t know how to answer it. I emailed her, and will be sending her my guest post next week.

Also, once you’ve established yourself a little bit, just letting people know you are available to guest post is enough.

I can’t wait to see how guest posting will impact my business this year.
