What’s holding you back?

No matter who you are, or where you are in your life there’s something… something that’s not quite right. There’s something you wish was a little more or a little better. It may be your income. It may be your weight. Hell, you may want to ride 100 miles on your bicycle and you just can’t quite do it yet.

I bet you… really I bet you… that the only thing standing in the way of getting whatever it is you want is … YOU.what's holding you back?

I know, I fought it. I didn’t believe it. I thought it was bull. I thought up a lot of excuses so I could blame my lack of century riding ability, my lack of a 6 figure income, my extra weight on somebody else.

But when it comes down to it ~ it is all me baby. (which probably means it’s all you too)

While that sucks big in one way ~ it’s hugely AWESOME in many more ways. If I’m the only thing standing in my way ~ I have complete and utter control and power to change it! (and so do you!)

What’s holding you back?

My guess is you don’t know. I know I didn’t know what it was, until this weekend.

Upon the recommendation of a trusted friend I picked up an ebook this weekend. It’s called “What’s Holding You Back” written by Dave Navarro. I thought it might do a little something, maybe motivate me to get done what I know I need to do but just can’t seem to force myself to do (like stop drinking pop and eating doritoes and build some dang links for my niche sites).

Well… let me tell you. It did that and so much frickin’ more I can’t even tell you.

I literally spent my entire weekend glued to this book. It’s not just a book. You don’t just read it. It’s a workbook ~ with pages to fill in, questions to answer, and plans to make. It is genius.

Dave goes through the 7 Success Killers. Now, if you’ve done a lot of “self improvement” stuff you may think you know it all… I think I thought I did. I have not heard of even ONE of the success killers Dave talks about in this book.

However… every single one made me stop and think, and 2 or 3 of them gave me some serious AHA moments. #2 was seriously where I’ve been falling down, it was the Success Killer that I was succumbing to the most, and I bet some of you are as well.

What I particularly loved about this book is once I read it I was like ~ holy crap. That’s exactly what my problem is. Then a few pages later come the worksheets. Not only is Dave helping me identify what’s holding me back. He’s giving me exercises, worksheets, questions to help me figure my way OUT of it too.

This Monday morning I came to my work with an entirely different frame of mind. I’m ready to go. I’m ready to do what needs to be done. I’m ready to make my goals a reality.

I know this sounds super gung ho and ra ra, but I’m telling you… as a person who’s been in this business of making money online for many years this is one book that has changed my game. Completely.

If you aren’t where you want to be ~ in your business, in your life, in your love, in your weight ~ anywhere ~ I highly recommend you pick up and find out “What’s Holding You Back”. If you read and work the book it will make a huge difference.

When you read the book and do the exercises and you realize what was holding you back and what you need to do now ~ please send me an email. I want to know.

I very rarely say things are a must have ~ but this is one of them. Find a way to get together the $27 bucks for this book and get it. Take the week and read it. Do the exercises. Then let me know how you feel. I bet you are just as JAZZED as I am right now. I can’t wait to hear!

Hi Jackie,

Even though I am not a mom, I deeply appreciate the helpful atmosphere you transmit. It is always encouraging and motivating. Later this week I will be able to order your Squidoo video instruction series.

There is a whole demographic in our population that is not being specifically addressed...older guys like myself who need to suplement their pension (sometimes non-existent) and their Social Security check so that their 'Golden Years' can indeed be a bit more golden. I hope the talented women that follow you don't end up resenting the males who find helpful information reading (and heeding, I hope) your writing. Thank you for everything you do.

All the best,
John

Hi Jackie. I know I need this book, so it's on my list of 'must-have' items. I know there are several things holding me back and I am pretty sure procrastination is one of them. Why do I procrastinate? I don't know. I need a major break through to get me going and maybe this workbook will be the kick in the pants I need. Thanks

I just finished a squidoo lens need to do some finishing touches and am looking at starting another. Then I thought to myself should I be continuing or should I try to get the ones I already have doing more for me. I think I am becoming brain dead. I was asking myself the question, when do you know its time to stop. When do you look at all the work you are doing compared to the rewards and know if this is for you.

I dont know. I know I dont want to quit, but sometimes I just do not know the next move to take.

I think I need to get this book it probably will steer me in the right direction. I do internet marketing every day at least 3-4 hours per day during the week and all day on the weekends. I do still have a full time job. I think I am too tired to even think. Dont even think I am making much sense right now. (smile)

Enough of this rambling and go get the book.

I'm looking foward to getting this book. I always like the motivation that pushes me through some of the tough things in life.

Hi Jackie, I finish up a coaching course that I've been taking since December next month. The book sounds like something I could use in my coaching practice or refer to others. I'll have to go get it. Thanks!

P.S. I don't think Keywordluv works anymore. I checked their website out and it said it would only work on their page now.

Hey Todd,

Not sure what's going on for you. I just subscribed via google feedreader and it looks fine. I also grabbed the rss feed to my igoogle page and it looks fine there too. ??

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for the recommendation -- I'll have to check into "What's Holding You Back." Sounds like a great guided "reality check."

Congratulations for moving over to Hostgator. I've used them for about a year and half and LOVE the customer service. They really do a great job.

Have a wonderful week. :-)

Hey Todd,

That would be a great post. Using this book in reference to fitness would be fantastic!

I am strongly considering buying this book...

If I purchase it I will go through it all and fill out the worksheets and let everyone know what I feel about it via a new comment and a blog post of my own.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Hi Jackie, I'll have to go make a few sums, I have to get myself out of this hole I'm in and this sounds like the book to do it with. Fortunately I've got some Squidoo money, I'll not buy some PLR with it because I'm lazy but get this instead!

Hi Jackie,

Glad to see your site back up. I've finished the second chapter in this book, but haven't completed the worksheets for two. I can say WOW! I wouldn't have thought by simple using some different words would make such a difference.

It's definitely is worth $27 price tag. Thank you so much for recommending it!

Cheers!
